Most people think mentorship requires a huge time commitment or special skills. The truth is, it’s often much simpler than that. It’s about showing up and sharing moments you were already going to have.

It can look like grabbing pizza after school, shooting hoops at the local park, or going for a walk and having a conversation. These everyday moments may seem small, but for a young person, they can mean everything.

You don’t need to be perfect or plan something extraordinary to be a Big. What matters most is consistency, presence, and a willingness to show up.

Right now, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles is looking for 80 men to step up and become mentors. There are boys in our community waiting for someone they can trust, spend time with, and look up to. The need is real, and the impact is lasting.
